Asus’ Padphone
Do you need the ability for seamless transitions of applications between you tablet and smartphone? What about video conferencing with family or business colleagues? Then look now further than the new Asus Padphone. The first of it’s kind where the smartphone docks inside the tablet. What is Asus thinking you may be asking? What they are answering is giving the market the niche product that some people have been asking for.
The Padphone will be running on Android, not on a windows OS as earlier thought. The smart phone docks into the back of the tablet and allows for the use of a single SIM card between the two devices. This will allow the user internet access over a 3g network.
The cool thing about this arrangement is that it will charge your smartphone while docked.
Will this take off, who are we to say, but it’s an interesting concept for those on the go that would like to have the best of both world in a nice, neat package. No word on when it will be released at press time. But for now enjoy this image and video.
